"Art makes me look at the world with different eyes"
I'm a mixed media and abstract artist.
I work on different surfaces, it can be canvas, paper, canvas-board, wood, etc.
I paint intuitively and rarely start with an idea of how a painting is going to look. I often start with choosing my colors and let the painting evolve from there.
My art and daily time in my studio allows me to relax, it is my way of expressing my feelings, putting emotions onto the canvas.
There are many things that inspire me to paint.
I can start with a poem or words that trigger an emotion in me. Many of my paintings have a written poem in the first layers, after which many more layers follow.
Nature is also a great source of inspiration for me, with all the plants and small animals and insects, "critters".
My love for Swedish stone walls has resulted in many paintings with my interpretation of those stones.
That love for the Swedish stone walls comes from the time when we lived in Sweden as a family.
On the photo on the right you see a painting with such stones.
The most important thing for me about painting is that it has helped me come to terms with the loss of my father, it helps me deal with my fears and all the other emotions that life brings.
It has helped me to search for the real "me" and has opened so many new paths for me.
My love for the healing power of intuitive painting is so deep that I want to share it with you by offering my coaching sessions.
Everyone deserves a chance to discover that magic!
With my paintings I hope to inspire you to discover yourself, whether this is by a painting of mine on your wall or by guiding you during my coaching sessions.
I would feel honored and grateful to know that my art is a part of your life.
