"Art makes me look at the world with different eyes"
I'm an intuitive abstract artist.
I work on different surfaces, mixed media, it can be canvas, paper, canvas-board, wood, etc.
I paint intuitively and never start with an idea of how a painting is going to look. I often start with choosing my colors and then let the painting evolve from there.
My art and daily time in my studio allows me to relax, it is my way of expressing my feelings, putting emotions onto the canvas.
There are a lot of things that inspire me to paint.
I often start with a poem or words that trigger an emotion in me. Many of my paintings have a written poem in the first layers, after which many more layers follow.
Nature is also a great source of inspiration for me, all the plants and small animals and insects, "critters".
My love for Swedish stone walls has resulted in many paintings with my interpretation of those stones.
That love for the Swedish stone walls comes from the time when we lived in Sweden as a family.
On the photo on the right you see a painting with such stones.
The most important thing for me about painting is that it helps me to deal with everyday-emotions, it brings me joy,
And I would feel honored and be so grateful to know that my art is a part of your life and can bring joy to your home.
