I've always known that I love a lot of different things creative. But I've also always read that it isn't good to do different things, you have to be consistent to build up a community/art-tribe or following, whatever you like to call it.
I decided I couldn't be consistent
A long time I tried and tried, but a while ago I gave up trying to be consistent and stick to one kind of art or craft. I got tired of not doing all I love. And it stopped me from trying new things, it blocked my creativity. And that was what made me start with learning new skills.
I found journal making; junk-journals, art journals, etc. In the process of making those journals there are so many steps involved with all kinds of techniques. I literally dived into the making of journals and learning all those techniques. I even started a new Instagram account solely for my journals; www.instagram.com/marielles_journals You are welcome to come over and follow me there!
Finding inspiration online
I bing-watch You Tube videos from other crafters, LOVE IT !!! And of course I try a lot of what they show in their videos, like dyeing paper, folding pockets, making cards and all sorts of embellishments for journals.
There are many very inspiring video's on You Tube, many accounts on Instagram and soooo many pins on Pinterest about journal making. I will definitely make a blog about the accounts and videos that have inspired me later on.
What do you think...feel? Do you need more than one way to create? Or do you consistently stick to one?
